What school did you attend? Woodside School, Bolton
What college did you go to and what did you study?
I attended Bolton College and I studied on a number of courses, including Maths, English, Cookery, and IT.
Do you have a job or volunteer placement you can you tell us about it?
I have a volunteer placement at Heaton fold farm in Bolton. I also volunteer at Smart Enterprise helping out on the creative art programmes.
What are your aspirations for the future?
I would like to continue working at Heaton Fold Farm and Bolton Smart Enterprise as I really enjoy volunteering
What are your favourite hobbies and pastimes?
I like watching TV particularly Heart Beat and attending the Jubilee Activity Club every week.
A learning disability can be mild, moderate or severe. Some people with a mild learning disability can talk easily and look after themselves, but take a bit longer than usual to learn new skills. Others may not be able to communicate at all and have more than one disability
The unknown factor is the disorder that affects the brain’s ability to receive and process information. This disorder can make it problematic for a person to learn as quickly or in the same way as someone who is not affected by a learning disability.
